ST. JOHNSBURY –– A 23-year-old Barton resident was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and violation of court-ordered conditions following a traffic stop on Memorial Drive in St. Johnsbury on Thursday.
The Vermont State Police reported that Andrew Baird was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation.
During the stop, troopers noticed several indicators of impairment.
Further investigation revealed that Baird’s license was under criminal suspension, and he was in violation of a court-ordered condition of release prohibiting the consumption of alcohol.
Baird was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
Following the procedures, Baird was released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court to answer to the charges of impaired driving and violation of court-ordered conditions.
