NEWPORT — A 30-year-old man was arrested for first-degree aggravated domestic assault following an incident in Newport Center on Monday.
Authorities say they were notified of a domestic assault that occurred on Church Street at around 4:20 p.m.
Police allege that Cody Myott, of Newport Center, had assaulted a household member.
Myott was arrested and brought to the Derby barracks for processing.
He was held without bail and later brought to Northern State Correctional Facility.
