ALSTEAD –– A rollover crash early Tuesday morning claimed the life of a 44-year-old woman.
Jeannie Davis of Alstead was pronounced dead at the scene following a motor vehicle accident on Alstead Center Road at 3:46 a.m. on Oct. 31, according to the New Hampshire State Police Troop C.
Authorities said Davis was operating a 2015 Jeep Compass, traveling southbound when her vehicle crossed the centerline, just south of Chartier Lane.
The Jeep veered off the roadway and onto the northbound shoulder, striking an embankment which caused the vehicle to roll over.
Route 12A was shut down for several hours while the crash was under investigation.
The New Hampshire State Police Troop C was assisted at the scene by the Alstead Police Department, the Alstead Fire/EMS Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
