POWNAL — A 33-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Pownal yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place in the area of Middle Pownal Road at around 10:05 p.m.
The caller told police that the driver did not want the police called and left the scene on foot.
Troopers located the driver and identified him as John Kearns, of Pownal.
While speaking with Kearns, police say they identified multiple indicators of impairment.
He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and later released on a citation to appear in court on November 20 to answer the charge.
