MARSHFIELD — A 36-year-old man from Barre was cited for retail theft in Marshfield on Friday.
Authorities were notified of the theft of two cartons of cigarettes from the Plainfield Maplefields at around 7:50 a.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Richard Atkinson had stolen two cartons of cigarettes from the Marshfield General Store and two cartons from the Plainfield Maplefields.
Atkinson was later located and issued a citation for the offenses.
