DANVILLE — A 43-year-old man was charged with excessive speeding in Danville today.
Police say they observed a passing motorist traveling at a high rate of speed while on patrol.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop shortly after and made contact with the driver, identified as Jamin Frechette, of Danville.
Police say that Frechette was traveling at speeds of 97 miles-per-hour while in a posted 55 miles-per-hour zone.
He was issued a traffic ticket and released on citation to answer the charge in court on December 11.
