BENNINGTON — A 60-year-old man from Cambridge was cited for excessive speeding in Bennington today.
Police say they clocked a vehicle traveling 90 miles-per-hour in a posted 55 miles-per-hour speed limit zone while conducting speed enforcement on US Route 7, near mile marker 13/8, at around 11:00 a.m.
Randy A. Ellis was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding with a waiver penalty of $530.
He was released with a citation to answer the charge at a later date and time.
