MANCHESTER –– A city resident was arrested in connection with two robberies committed in one day, according to Manchester Police.
Farah Ibrahim, 28, of Manchester, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with two counts of robbery.
On October 23, Manchester Police responded to a reported robbery at Seven Days Market on 360 Union Street around 10:30 p.m.
The caller informed the police that a man on a bicycle had approached him outside the market, brandishing large hedge clippers and demanding his wallet.
The victim gave the suspect cash and promptly left the area.
The suspect’s description matched that of a man involved in an earlier robbery at the Family Dollar on Lincoln Street.
In that incident, the man attempted to shoplift items from the store and physically assaulted a female employee who confronted him.
The investigation led to the identification and arrest of Ibrahim in connection with both incidents.
