MANCHESTER –– A man has been arrested in connection with a violent assault that happened earlier this month.
Manchester Police apprehended the suspect after he turned himself in.
The incident occurred on Oct. 5, around 2:10 a.m., when officers were dispatched to Lowell and Kosciuszko Streets following reports of an assault.
The caller reported a blond-haired white male kicking a man on the ground.
On arriving at the scene, the police found the 62-year-old victim still lying on the ground, conscious but disoriented.
He had sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his head and face and was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect had left the scene before the police arrived but was later identified as 26-year-old Kyle Babb of Chichester through an investigation.
Following the identification, a warrant was issued charging Babb with second-degree assault.
Babb turned himself into Manchester Police on Oct. 25.
