CHARLOTTE — A 34-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in Charlotte today.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on US Route 7 at around 4:45 p.m.
The driver was identified as Ashley Thurgate, of Charlotte.
During the course of the investigation, police say Thurgate was found to have provided the investigating trooper with false information in an effort to deflect the investigation.
She was issued a citation to appear in court on December 19 to answer the charge of false information to a police officer.
State Police was assisted in this incident by the Shelburne Police Department.
