SWANTON –– On October 22, at around 1:00 p.m., two young children reported a concerning encounter on Hog Island Road in Swanton, and today police released an image of the vehicle involved.
The juveniles, aged 11 and 13, were walking along the road when they were approached by an older male with gray and white hair.
He was driving a tan-colored, dented sedan that appeared to be in poor condition.
The man allegedly offered the children a ride and candy.
The children promptly declined his offer, after which he drove away without further interaction.
Local authorities have been alerted to this suspicious incident and are seeking any information that could help identify or locate the individual in question, or identify the vehicle.
Members of the community are being urged to be cautious and report any suspicious activity.
