COLCHESTER — A 52-year-old man, sought by police on a probation violation related to a bank robbery charge, was arrested without incident at a residence on Shady Lane on Tuesday afternoon.
Colchester Police Department officers responded to the home shortly after 4:17 p.m. after receiving information that a male at the residence, identified as Ronald Cook, may have a current warrant for his arrest.
The warrant was confirmed by the United States Marshalls Service, which had been looking for Cook due to a probation violation on an original charge of robbing a banking institution.
Cook was taken into custody without any problems and is currently being held without bail at the Northwest State Correctional Facility on the arrest warrant.
The Colchester Police Department did not release any additional information about the original bank robbery charge or the nature of Cook’s probation violation.
