St. Johnsbury man facing multiple charges

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 33-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in St. Johnsbury today.

Authorities say they were notified of a theft of cash, debit card, and check from a home on Rabbit Pln at around 7:15 a.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Michael Buck, of St. Johnsbury, was the person of interest.

Troopers were notified that the debit card had been used twice at Maplefields in St. Johnsbury, and a check had been fraudulently cashed at the Union Bank in Lyndonville.

Buck was located on Memorial Dr shortly after and taken into custody for an outstanding in-state warrant from Orleans County.

He was ordered to be held on $500 bail from the warrant by the Honorable Judge Michael Kainen.

Buck was issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charges of arrest on an in-state warrant, petit larceny, violation of conditions of release, identify theft, credit card fraud, and uttering a forged instrument.
