ST. JOHNSBURY — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the driver who fled the scene of a crash in St. Johnsbury yesterday.
Authorities were notified of a single-vehicle crash in the yard of a home on Higgins Hill Road at around 11:00 a.m.
Police say the driver was seen fleeing in the woods and moments later left in a red Chevy Cobalt with expired temporary tags.
Later that afternoon, troopers located the Cobalt abandoned in the parking lot of Price Chopper in St. Johnsbury.
Anyone who has information about the driver is asked to contact Trooper Aremburg at the St Johnsbury barracks.
