CAMBRIDGE — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Cambridge today.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 15 at around 9:50 a.m.
According to the report, Matthew Gillespie, 32, of Waterville, was traveling west and crossed over the double yellow centerline.
He struck Katelyn Ferris, 28, of Stafford Springs, CT, in the eastbound travel lane.
According to witness statements, Gillespie may have been attempting to pass another uninvolved vehicle at some time prior.
Police say Ferris was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Gillespie was flown to the University of Vermont Medical Center due to life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.
Ferris and a passenger of Gillespie were both transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
State Police were assisted on the scene by members of the Cambridge and Johnson Fire Departments, Cambridge and Fairfax Rescue Squads.
