NEWFANE — A 58-year-old woman was arrested for DUI following a crash in Newfane yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Newfane Hill Road at around 9:50 p.m.
The white Chevrolet van had crashed into a mailbox, then into a telephone / electrical pole.
Following an investigation, police identified the driver as Jennifer Roberts, of Newfane.
Police say they detected indicators of alcohol impairment.
Roberts was transported to Grace Cottage Hospital where she was medically evaluated and received treatment for apparent minor bodily injuries.
She was arrested for suspicion of DUI and was issued a citation to appear in court on December 5.
