GEORGIA — A juvenile from Williston was charged following an incident in Georgia yesterday.
Police say they observed a motorcycle traveling south on I-89 at a dangerously high rate of speed at around 2:55 p.m.
The motorcycle was captured on radar traveling 116 miles-per-hour in an area of highway posted at 65 miles-per-hour.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on I-89 south.
The driver was identified as a juvenile.
The juvenile was ordered to appear in court to answer the charge of grossly negligent operation at a later date.
Police say they were also issued Vermont Civil Violations for traveling 51 miles-per-hour over the posted speed limit and no insurance, which carries a combined waiver amount of $913.
