NEWPORT CENTER — A 35-year-old woman from St. Johnsbury was arrested following a crash in Newport Center yesterday.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 105, near the intersection of Vermont Route 100, at around 2:10 p.m.
Police identified the driver as Sarah Verge.
Police say they performed standardized field sobriety tests on Verge and took her into custody for suspicion of DUI.
Verge was transported to the Derby barracks, processed, and charged with the crime of DUI #1 and drug.
