Woman charged with stealing vehicle in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 41-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in St. Johnsbury today.

Authorities say they were notified that a vehicle had been stolen from a home on Memorial Drive at around 8:00 a.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Susan Siewertsen, of St. Johnsbury, had taken the vehicle without the knowledge of the owner.

It was also found that Siewertsen had operated the vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

State Police located the vehicle and Siewertsen on Main Street in St. Johnsbury with the assistance of the St. Johnsbury Police Department.

Siewertsen was then placed under arrest and transported to the St. Johnsbury State Police barracks for further processing.

She was released with a citation to appear in court to answer for the charges of operating without owners’ consent, and criminal DLS.
