HOOKSETT –– A fatal motor vehicle collision involving four cars resulted in three deaths and left one person injured on Main St. at the intersection of Hooksett Rd. on Wednesday, September 27.
The Hooksett Police Department responded to the incident around 1:20 PM, discovering a 2020 Nissan Rouge, 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2020 GMC Savana Van, and a 2017 Toyota Camry at the scene.
Preliminary findings reveal the Nissan Rogue, traveling north on Hooksett Rd near Morse Dr., initially sideswiped the Toyota Camry before making contact with the GMC van at the intersection of Hooksett Rd. and Main St.
The Nissan continued onto Main St., rear-ending the Jeep before ultimately colliding with a large tree stump on the southbound shoulder.
All three occupants of the Nissan were transported by ambulance to local hospitals, where they were later declared dead.
The Jeep’s driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the GMC van and Toyota drivers were unscathed.
Hooksett Rd., between College Park Dr. and Morse Dr., and Main St., between Hooksett Rd. and Grant Dr., were closed for an extended period as the Hooksett Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.
Hooksett Fire/Rescue, Bow Fire/Rescue, American Medical Response, and NH DOT were also present to assist.
