PUTNEY –– An 80-year-old Putney man was arrested on charges of simple assault on Sept. 23, according to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.
Kenneth Jacobs was taken into custody by Deputy Thomas Raymond after an investigation into an assault reported on Sept. 14.
The incident occurred on Carol Brown Way.
The sheriff’s office said Jacobs was subsequently arrested and issued a criminal citation for simple assault.
He was later released at his residence.
Deputy Raymond initiated the investigation after the sheriff’s office received the assault report. The details of the incident were not immediately available.
The case remains under investigation.
