BERLIN — A 75-year-old man from New York was cited for negligent operation in Berlin yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a wrong-way driver on I-89 at around 7:15 p.m.
The vehicle was seen driving north in the southbound lanes from exit 6 towards exit 7.
Troopers located the driver, identified as Robert Oliver, of Frankfort, NY, in a parking lot off exit 7.
Police say Oliver was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date for negligent operation and released.
Troopers were assisted on the scene by members of the Berlin Police Department.
