POWNAL — A 35-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Pownal yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a family fight at a home on Middle Pownal Road at around 3:50 a.m.
Police allege that Joshua R. Allen, of Pownal, had physically assaulted a family/household member and prevented them from calling for help.
Allen was placed under arrest and transported to the Shaftsbury State Police barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, he was held without bail and later transported to the Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division for arraignment.
