SHAFTSBURY — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Shaftsbury today.
The crash took place on Vermont Route 7A, adjacent to Daniel’s Road, at around 6:45 a.m.
According to the report, Lindsay P. Vignola, 48, of Bennington, was in the Paulin’s Gas Station parking lot and entered the road, ultimately failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Peter J. Polak, 64, of Bennington, was traveling north on 7A when Vignola pulled out in front of his vehicle, causing a head-on collision.
Both vehicles came to uncontrolled rest and Vignola sustained minor injuries from the airbag deployment in his vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were removed from the road by Walts Towing and All Service Citgo.
State Police were assisted by Bennington Rescue Squad, Shaftsbury Fire Department, Walts Towing, and All Service Citgo.
