DOVER –– Two juveniles have been arrested on multiple counts of burglary, criminal mischief, and theft in Dover, according to Police Chief William M. Breault.

The arrests, announced on September 7, come after a series of incidents that took place in the early morning hours of August 28 around Garrison Road and at the concession stand at the Shaws Lane athletic fields.

On that morning, Dover Police received a number of reports from residents regarding criminal activity, including damage to properties and theft.

Garrison Elementary School and the Dover Recreation Department also reported damage to their properties, including a burglary at the athletic fields’ concession stand.

Surveillance footage obtained during the investigation showed two juveniles riding bicycles and damaging property, which led to their identification and subsequent charges.

One of the juveniles faces charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and three counts of theft by unauthorized taking, while the other is charged with burglary and two counts of criminal mischief.

Both are also likely to face an additional charge of falsifying physical evidence through the juvenile justice system.
