MANCHESTER –– A man was arrested and charged in connection with a robbery and assault that took place in Manchester earlier this summer, according to local police.
David Mitchell, 33, of Manchester, was arrested on September 8, 2023, by the Manchester Police. He is suspected of being involved in a robbery that took place on July 19, 2023, at 240 Valley St.
Officers at the time were summoned to the location where they spoke to a man who reported being assaulted and robbed inside an apartment he was staying at.
The victim told officers that a man had aggressively approached him demanding money. When he refused, he claimed the man kicked and punched him, ultimately stealing cash.
Through subsequent investigation, Mitchell was identified as a suspect. A warrant was issued charging him with robbery and violation of bail.
Upon his arrest, Mitchell was also charged with stalking, a misdemeanor, and an additional violation of bail in connection with an unrelated incident.
