PELHAM –– A suspect in a home break-in has been taken into custody, according to an update from the Pelham Police Department.
The man was found and arrested following a search operation involving multiple local law enforcement agencies.
At approximately 4:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male subject who had broken into a residence on May Lane.
The caller hid inside the home until law enforcement arrived and safely removed him from the premises. Despite an initial search of the house and surrounding area, the suspect was not immediately located.
Police from Salem, Hudson, and Windham assisted the Pelham Police Department in establishing a perimeter and conducting the search.
Although the suspect was thought to have fled the area, officers remained on scene to continue the investigation.
