ALEXANDRIA –– An 80-year-old man who had been reported missing on Monday was found safe near his home early Tuesday morning.
Richard Taylor, who suffers from dementia, was found in a drainage area near Thomas Rd., about six-tenths of a mile from his home, at 1:16 a.m.
Taylor had been reported missing to the New Hampshire State Police by his family on September 4, 2023, after he failed to return home from a walk. He was last seen in the area of Washburn Road in Alexandria, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and an orange hunting cap.
The New Hampshire State Police Troop F had activated the Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert System in response to Taylor’s disappearance.
The Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert has since been canceled.
