NEWPORT CENTER — A 24-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Newport Center today.
Police say they came across a vehicle on its roof in a ditch on Farrar Road at around 12:00 a.m.
The driver was identified as Jacob Edgerly, of Newport Center.
Edgerly reported that he was uninjured.
Police say that Edgerly lost control of his truck while negotiating the left-hand corner coming off Leadville Road and onto Farrar Road.
The truck rolled onto its roof, coming to rest in the ditch.
Edgerly displayed signs and indicators of impairment and after further investigation, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to Newport PD for processing and was later released with a citation.
