HOLLIS –– A local man faces DUI charges after his pickup truck collided with a parked utility vehicle on Depot Rd last week.

At about 7:55 p.m. on August 24, Hollis police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash near Route 11.

They found that a GMC Sierra pickup truck, driven by Joshua Chapman, 39, of Hollis, had hit the rear of an Eversource utility truck that was partially parked in the roadway.

The utility truck had its amber warning lights on at the time of the accident.

Officers, on investigating the crash, determined that Chapman appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Hollis Police Department. After being processed, Chapman was released on PR bail and is set to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.

Chapman is charged with one count of DUI, according to Capt. Brendan LaFlamme, who authorized the release of the information on September 1. No injuries were reported in the incident.
