SALEM –– A Massachusetts woman was arrested early Thursday for driving the wrong way on Interstate 93, according to New Hampshire State Police.
At around 2:20 a.m., Troopers Duhamel and Olmstead were traveling southbound on the interstate when they encountered a vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lanes.
The vehicle was successfully stopped as it passed the exit 1 off ramp.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Vanessa Dubey of Haverhill, Massachusetts, told the troopers she was “following her GPS.”
The exact point where Dubey entered the interstate was unclear as troopers intercepted the vehicle before any 911 reports were made.
Dubey was charged with reckless conduct, aggravated DWI, and reckless operation.
She is scheduled for arraignment in Salem District Court at a later date.
