MANCHESTER –– A Manchester man who was previously arrested for sexual assault charges in July is now facing additional charges involving another victim, according to local law enforcement.
James Aubuchont, 51, was initially arrested after an investigation beginning in June found evidence of sexual assault against a minor.
The arrest was made possible through a coordinated effort by the US Marshal Service, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the US Forest Service, and the Manchester Police Department.
Post the arrest, detectives continued their investigation and discovered an additional victim, leading to several more charges against Aubuchont.
These charges include aggravated felonious sexual assault, possession and creation of child sexual abuse imagery, tampering with evidence, falsification of physical evidence, two counts of interfering with witnesses and informants, and child endangerment.
Aubuchont is currently in custody without bail.
He is scheduled for arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court on Friday, August 18.
While the investigation is still ongoing, the Manchester Police Department is encouraging individuals with more information on this case to reach out.
Detective Adrianne Davenport can be contacted at (603) 792-5549 or the Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711.
Despite the charges, Aubuchont is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The case remains active as detectives continue to compile evidence.
