NEW HAVEN — A 47-year-old woman from Bristol was arrested on a warrant in New Haven on Wednesday.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on River Road at around 11:25 p.m.
The driver was identified as Theresa McGuire.
While interacting with McGuire, police say they observed indicators of impairment.
She was screened and taken into custody for the suspicion of DUI and taken to the New Haven barracks for processing.
Police say that McGuire was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear for a previous offense.
She was released with a citation to appear in court on August 21 to answer for the previous charge and a citation to appear in court on October 9 to answer for the charge of DUI.
