ALSTEAD –– A 40-year-old Alstead resident, Adam Damaziak, was arrested on Tuesday, August 15, by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force on charges of possessing child sexual abuse images.
Members of the task force, which includes investigators from the New Hampshire State Police, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the Claremont Police Department, executed an arrest and search warrant with the assistance of the Alstead Police Department.
The arrest follows an investigation initiated by a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The tip indicated the illegal use of computers and alleged possession and/or distribution of child sexual abuse images.
Damaziak, who is currently held on preventative detention, is charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Images, a Class A Felony pursuant to NH RSA 649-A:3.
He is expected to appear before the Cheshire County Superior Court for arraignment on Wednesday.
