NASHUA –– A Nashua man has been arrested on drug, weapons, and criminal threatening charges following a domestic violence incident, according to local police.
Jefferthon Gabriel Estrada, 39, was arrested on August 14, after police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at a Main Street address.
He is facing two counts of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, two counts of possession of a controlled drug, and one count of criminal threatening in a domestic violence situation.
Police officials say that officers and members of the Problem-Oriented Policing Unit expanded their investigation upon arriving at the scene and discovered that Estrada had threatened his girlfriend, causing her to fear for her safety.
Estrada, a convicted felon, was also found to have firearms in his residence.
A search warrant was subsequently obtained for Estrada’s home.
During the search, officers reportedly uncovered multiple firearms, ammunition, cocaine, and marijuana.
Estrada was held on preventative detention and underwent arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – South on August 15 at 1 p.m.
