SHELDON — A 53-year-old man from Fairfield was arrested for his second DUI following an incident in Sheldon today.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Route 105 by Poor Farm Road at around 5:30 p.m.
The driver was identified as Walter Wagner.
Police say Wagner displayed multiple indicators of impairment.
His license was criminally suspended in the state of Vermont for a prior DUI conviction.
Wagner was screened and placed into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the St. Albans State Police barracks for processing.
He was released to a sober party and issued a citation to appear in court on August 29 for the charges of DUI #2 and criminal DLS.
