BROWNINGTON — A 33-year-old man from Coventry was arrested for DUI following a crash in Brownington yesterday.
The single-vehicle rollover crash took place on Hinman Settler Road at around 10:15 p.m.
Responding troopers say they encountered the driver, identified as Adam Perkins, on the scene with four passengers.
Police say Perkins had superficial abrasions on his face and the passengers reported no injuries.
During the investigation, indicators of impairment were observed.
After completion of field sobriety testing, Perkins was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Newport Police Department for processing.
After processing, he was released with a citation to appear in court on August 29 to answer the charge.
Orleans Fire Department, Orleans Ambulance, and Wright’s Towing were all on the scene.
