CLARENDON — A 36-year-old man from Bennington was arrested for DUI following an incident in Clarendon early yesterday morning.
Authorities say they were notified of a single-vehicle off the road on US Route 7 at around 12:20 a.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Matthew Bates had operated a motor vehicle on a public highway while under the influence of intoxicants.
Bates was screened and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to the Rutland barracks for processing and later released.
