WATERFORD, Vt.–– A 51-year-old Waterford woman was arrested for domestic assault late Saturday night, as per the Vermont State Police.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence on Lawrence Road in Waterford at approximately 10:18 p.m. on Aug. 5.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that Stephanie Lyman, a resident of the city, had allegedly assaulted a member of her household, causing injury.
Lyman was taken into custody at the scene. She was processed at the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks.
The identity of the victim, as per the policy of the Vermont State Police, was not disclosed due to the nature of the incident.
The policy is in line with the state’s provisions that protect the identities of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
No further information about the incident has been released at this time. The case remains under investigation.
