VERSHIRE –– Vermont State Police are seeking information about an act of theft that took place between July 29 and August 5 at the town of Vershire Transfer Station on Durgin Hill.
Authorities said an unknown thief or thieves stole a 60-gallon Irving propane tank from the facility.
The victim of the theft is the Town of Vershire itself, the police confirmed.
Those with any knowledge about the theft are encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police in St. Johnsbury at 802-748-3111.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing, with no suspects identified at this time.
