DANVILLE –– A Danville woman has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence and negligent operation following a domestic dispute.
Ashley Trahan, 31, was apprehended on Aug. 5 at approximately 7:51 p.m. after troopers were alerted to a custodial dispute/domestic situation on US Route 2 and Wightman Road in Danville.
Upon arrival, authorities found several vehicles pulled over on the highway.
An investigation revealed that Trahan had been involved in a dispute with a household member who had left the scene.
Trahan reportedly followed them in a separate vehicle, driving erratically.
Troopers noted signs of impairment in Trahan, leading them to conduct sobriety tests. Following the tests, Trahan was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
She was subsequently processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks and formally charged with DUI and negligent operation.
Trahan is slated to appear at Caledonia County on Aug. 21 for arraignment, according to authorities.
