POWNAL — A 26-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested for domestic assault following an incident in Pownal today.
Authorities say they were notified of a family fight/domestic located at a home on US Route 7 at around 10:45 a.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Alexander C. Heck, of North Adams, MA, inflicted bodily injury to a household member.
Heck was placed under arrest and transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for processing.
He was released on a citation to answer the charge.
He is scheduled to appear in court on August 7.
