PUTNEY — A 28-year-old woman was arrested for DUI in Putney today.
Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle parked in the middle of East Putney Brook Road at around 12:45 a.m.
Police say that Brigitte B. Mackenzie, of Putney, was attempting to operate her 2009 Subaru Forester prior to their arrival.
Further investigation revealed that Mackenzie had been consuming alcohol and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
She was transported to the Westminster State Police barracks for processing.
She was released with a criminal citation and scheduled to appear in court on August 15 to answer the charge.
