DERBY — A 37-year-old man from Derby was arrested and held without bail after a report of a family disturbance early this morning, according to Vermont State Police.
Kristopher Lauderbach was taken into custody following an incident where he allegedly placed a family member in fear of serious bodily harm or death and prevented them from leaving their residence.
Troopers responded to the scene on Nelson Hill Road in Derby at approximately 1:34 a.m., following a received report of the disturbance.
Lauderbach was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing. He faces charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint, and reckless endangerment.
He was lodged at the Northern State Correctional Facility without bail. His court date was scheduled for later today, at 12:30 p.m. at the Newport court.
