MT. HOLLY — A 44-year-old man was arrested for burglary in Mt. Holly early this morning.
Authorities say they were notified of a burglary that occurred on School Street at around 5:40 a.m.
Police allege that Nicholas Turco, of Mt Holly, had driven to the Mt Holly Town Office.
Turco made entry into the building by shattering a window with a rock.
The Town Office was closed.
While inside the building, police say he was discovered by employees reporting for work at the Town Garage.
Turco attempted to flee and drove his vehicle into a ditch.
He was taken into custody and taken to Rutland Superior Court.
