Cambridge man arrested in connection to Fairfax Dollar General armed robbery

FAIRFAX — A Cambridge man has been arrested following an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month at a Dollar General in Fairfax, according to the Vermont State Police.

Christopher W. Sizen, 39, was taken into custody in St. Albans on Thursday without incident. His arrest was facilitated with the assistance of the St. Albans City Police Department and tips from the public.

The robbery in question occurred on the evening of July 4, at around 5:45 p.m.

An individual clad in black entered the Dollar General store located on Colonial Road, Fairfax, brandishing a firearm and demanding cash from the clerk.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money, driving away in a white utility truck with a ladder rack on the top and a female companion. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

Sizen, who fits the description of the male suspect, is facing charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, grand larceny, and petit larceny.

He was held at the Northwest State Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000.

Sizen is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on July 21, at 1:00 p.m.

The investigation is still ongoing.
