WELLS RIVER — A 52-year-old man from Washington was arrested following an incident in Wells River yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a nude man in a van, exposing himself in a lewd way to people at the fishing access on Route 302, at around 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police say they encountered the nude man, identified as Brian Barnett.
Barnett was showing signs of intoxication, and further investigation revealed his van did not have an interlock device though he was required to have one.
He was placed under arrest for the charges of lewd and lasciviousness and transported to the St. Johnsbury State Police barracks for fingerprints and processing.
He was released to the custody of NERCF.
