DORSET — A 57-year-old man from Florida was cited for excessive speeding in Dorset yesterday.
Police say they clocked a vehicle traveling 86 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour speed limit zone.
The vehicle was seen passing vehicles unsafely during an enforcement operation on US Route 7, near Bowen Hill Road, at around 9:00 a.m.
The driver, identified as Ronald Lipson, was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding with a waiver penalty of $544.
He was released with a citation to answer the charge at a later date and time.
