MILTON — A 27-year-old man from New Hampshire was charged with negligent operation following an incident in Milton today.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling 100 miles-per-hour in a posted 65 miles-per-hour zone on I-89 south at around 3:40 p.m.
The driver was identified as Edinson Mercedes, of Merrimack, NH.
Police say inside Mercedes’ vehicle were three passengers at the time traffic was heavy.
Mercedes was released with a citation to appear in court on August 24 to answer the charge.
