TROY –– A 49-year-old man from Hoosick Falls, NY, has been charged with his third DUI following a single-vehicle crash in Troy yesterday.
Troopers responded to the incident on North Jay Rd around 7:03 p.m. after receiving notification of the accident.
The driver, identified as Jason Gardner, was found to show several signs of impairment during their investigation at the scene.
Gardner was then arrested and transported to North Country Hospital due to serious injuries sustained in the crash.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police say.
While in the emergency room, officers processed Gardner for DUI.
He was issued a citation to appear in Orleans Criminal Court to answer to the charge.
This incident marks the third time Gardner has been accused of driving under the influence.
